San Diego, CA – December 12, 2025 – ObjectSecurity today announced expanded capabilities in Char5G, a software and hardware-integrated LTE/5G analysis suite designed to help operators detect Radio Access Network (RAN) activity, identify interference and congestion conditions, and accelerate RF situational awareness. Char5G combines a high-throughput RAN processing pipeline, applied AI models for signal and protocol classification, and an intuitive GUI, with a deployment path to commercial off-the-shelf RFSoC platforms. Founded in 2000 and headquartered in San Diego, CA, ObjectSecurity is a privately held provider of defense and industrial cybersecurity and supply chain risk solutions for mission-critical systems. The company supports DoD, government, and commercial customers across binary vulnerability analysis, trusted AI, security policy automation, supply chain risk, and RAN vulnerability assessment.

When analyzing and securing wireless networks, operators need timely visibility into what is present in the band, what the network is doing, and whether conditions suggest attack activity, congestion, or interference. Char5G is built as an analysis suite with a unified GUI that helps operators decode captured traffic, assess network health and usage load, and establish baselines using AI-driven classification.
Char5G incorporates AI and ML components intended for operational classification tasks that are difficult to resolve through deterministic rules alone. Current capabilities include a jamming detection model that distinguishes idle, continuous traffic, and jamming scenarios. Char5G also includes an AI protocol and modulation classifier that separates Wi-Fi protocols and identifies LTE and 5G modulation types.
These capabilities are accessible through a GUI organized around three operator workflows. The first supports jamming detection with near real-time classification as RF conditions change. The second supports protocol and modulation classification so operators can confirm what signals are present and distinguish lookalike activity. The third supports LTE and 5G sniffing to expose key identifiers used for tracking and resource analysis, including decoding artifacts used to identify active users and characterize network load. Char5G is also built for deployment on RFSoC hardware to support low-SWaP form factors. The software suite and AI models are lightweight and optimized for edge deployment, with demonstrated multi-channel RFSoC operation and integrated timestamping to support consistent downstream processing.
The following video demonstrates Char5G’s capabilities.
